Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu attended the talks in Geneva at which the Cyprus Summit and International Cyprus Conference were realized from 9-12 January, alongside Prime Minister Hüseyin Özgürgün.

Ertuğruloğlu met with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, who attended the International Cyprus Conference on behalf of Turkey, one of the three guarantor countries.

Ertuğruloğlu and Çavuşoğlu were joined in their meeting by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Serdar Denktaş. They exchanged views on the Cyprus negotiations and Turkey’s position with regards to the talks.

During the Cyprus Summit, Ertuğruloğlu also attended the meeting held by President Mustafa Akıncı and Turkish Negotiator Özdil Nami for political party leaders and representatives. Ertuğruloğlu also had meetings with other Turkish and foreign diplomats who attended the Cyprus Summit.

Minister Ertuğruloğlu was accompanied by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mustafa Lakadamyalı during his meetings.
