TRNC Minister of Foreign Affairs Özdil Nami who is continuing official contacts in Ankara informed the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, TGNA on the latest phase reached at the Cyprus problem, expectations and attitude of the Turkish side.

Nami said that they were targeting to have a new plan for a comprehensive solution in Cyprus by the beginning of next year and to reach a positive conclusion after a referendum.

Moreover, Nami said that they had a fruitful meeting with the Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu yesterday morning.

Mentioning that the Cyprus issue has currently reached an important stage, Nami recorded that the international community also started to talk about final efforts towards a comprehensive solution of the Cyprus issue.

Nami also thanked motherland Turkey for her support to the TRNC. The meeting was held closed to the press.
