Only 8,000 new voters have registered on election lists for parliamentary elections to be held in May in South Cyprus. Reporting that only 25 percent of 32,000 new voters have the right to vote so far, the Greek Cypriot Haravgi newspaper indicated that the last date to register in the voters lists is April 2. On the other hand, according to the survey partaking in the Greek Cypriot daily Simerini, it was expressed that the Greek Cypriot youth are not interested in the elections. According to the results of the survey conducted by the Cyprus Institute of Statisticians, 77 % of youth aged 18-35 do not want to vote in elections. In other words, eight out of ten young people have no intention to vote in the parliamentary elections which will be held in May in South Cyprus.
