A great number of immigration permits to third country citizens

Greek Cypriot Ministry of Interior is issuing a great number of immigration permits to third country citizens. Greek Cypriot daily Haravgi noted that the process to give immigration permits to investors should be completed within two months following the application process. The newspaper stated that 43 immigration permits were issued in 2012, 911 from May to December in 2013 and 524 permits issued from 1 June 2014 until today in the South Cyprus. Furthermore, it was stated that granting citizenship to investors in the South Cyprus is being a serious problem but Greek Cypriot government avoids giving information on the issue.
