Speaking to Germany’s International broadcasting corporation Deutsche Well before his visit to Germany, President Mustafa Akıncı made evaluations regarding the Cyprus issue, relations with Turkey and the EU and his visit to Germany.
President Akıncı stated that the main agenda topic of his visit to Germany will be the “Cyprus issue and the Turkish Cypriot people’s determination for a solution on the island.
Akıncı, “Germany is an important country and also one of the leading countries of the European Union. Therefore, I think the dialogue which will be conducted in the leadership of Germany concerning the Cyprus problem and the Turkish Cypriots is important due to Germany’s special position.”
