Following his meeting with Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoğlu, who paid a one day official visit to the TRNC yesterday, President Mustafa Akıncı stated during the joint press conference that the negotiations, which have been continuing for half a century, should be ended by the approval of both communities in the island. President Akıncı also stated that they have spent efforts towards this objective but the way is rugged.  Stressing the close relations between Turkey and the TRNC, Akıncı underlined that close relations have great importance in terms of the negotiations and the TRNC to stand on its own feet after a solution.
