President Mustafa Akıncı and the Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu met in Davos. During a one-hour meeting, President Akıncı and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu exchanged views on the ongoing negotiations with the aim of finding a solution to the Cyprus problem.

Making a statement to the Turkish Cypriot daily Kıbrıs Newspaper, Akıncı said that he discussed developments regarding the negotiation process with Prime Minister Davutoğlu and added that Turkey has an important role in a solution to be found in Cyprus. “Turkey’s support is always with us”, said Akıncı.
