Assembly delegation completed contacts in European Parliament

A delegation from the TRNC Assembly composed of CTP/BG parliamentarian Armağan Candan, UBP parliamentarian Ersan Saner and DP/UG parliamentarian Fikri Ataoğlu, had contacts during 27-29 January in Brussels.

According to the statement made from the Assembly, the delegation met with representatives from the Social Democrat Group, Central Rightist Group, Liberal Democrat Group, Greens and Conservative Group at the European Parliament.

The delegation also had meetings with many parliamentarians form the EP Committee on Foreign Affairs primarily the EU’S Turkey Reporter Kati Piri.

The delegation informed its counterparts about the latest stage reached at the negotiation process and the hydrocarbon issue at the Eastern Mediterranean and conveyed the expectations of the Turkish Cypriots from the European Union.
