Bi-communal Technical Committee on Culture plans for new events
Andrulla Vasiliu, the Greek Cypriot co-president of bi-communal Technical Committee on Culture, which was decided to be formed in the meetings between TRNC President Mustafa Akıncı and leader of Greek Cypriot administration Nikos Anastasiadis, expressed that they plan to conduct important events, which will increase the cooperation spirit between the two communities, in the upcoming periods, according to the Greek Cypriot daily Simerini.Vasiliu described the concert organized in Othello Castle as ‘very successful’ and expressed the plans to be made like a possible event in Salamis Ancient Theater, a conference to be organized with Europa Nostra concerning cultural heritage values. The newspaper also noted that the Greek Cypriot member of Technical Committee on Culture and director of Greek Cypriot Cultural Services Department Pavlos Paraskevas resigned from the Committee. Interviewing with the newspaper, Paraskevas stated that he submitted his resignation in the beginning of July due to the fact that he was too busy in the Greek Cypriot Cultural Services Department.
