According to a survey released by “Sigma TV” in South Cyprus yesterday, “boycott” will win the elections and 22 percent of the Greek Cypriots will not vote at the general parliamentary elections to be held in May in the Greek Cypriot side.

Greek Cypriot daily Fileftheros reported that now 22 percent of the Greek Cypriots will not vote in elections and according to the level of parties, the first party will be DİSİ with 20.2 percent vote and AKEL will follow with 16.4 percent.

The newspaper also reported that if an election is conducted next week, DIKO 8.1%, Citizens Alliance 4.1% and EDEK will take 4% of the votes.

According to the survey of “Prime Consulting” company which was conducted between the dates of 14-19 March, 4 out of 10 Greek Cypriots looked positively to the country’s being governed by the Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Anastasiades.

On the other hand, the Greek Cypriot daily Simerini reported that 86% of the Greek Cypriots will reject a solution which will abolish the Republic of Cyprus.

According to the survey, the newspaper also reported that 86 percent of the Greek Cypriots reject the Turkish guarantees while 59% of Greek Cypriots will not accept a plan that will include rotating presidency.
