The Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu attended the Warsaw Security Forum as an official representative of the TRNC. The forum, which was organized by Casimir Pulaski Foundation, took place in the Polish capital, Warsaw, on 26-28 October 2016. Minister Ertuğruloğlu attended the forum at the invitation of the Forum President.

Minister Ertuğruloğlu attended sessions on energy issues, particularly those related to energy, security and cyber security, cooperation in NATO and leadership today, the decision of the United Kingdom to leave the European Union, and the threats and the refugee crisis from and in Russia.

Minister Ertuğruloğlu also held meetings with the ministers and high level officials from various countries. Minister Ertuğruloğlu met with Michał Baranowski, the Director of the Warsaw Office of the German Marshall Fund, the Security Policy Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Austria Gerhard Jandl, the President of the International Crisis Group Jean-Marie Guéhenno, and the former Serbian Foreign Minister and the President of the Center for International Relations and Sustainable Development Vuk Jeremic.

In addition to holding bilateral meetings with high-level Polish officials, Ertuğruloğlu also attended the reception of the 93rd Anniversary of the Founding of Republic of Turkey as an honoured guest which was organized under the auspices of the Turkish Ambassador to Poland Tunç Üğdül.
