Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu travelled to Crans Montana this week in order to attend the Conference on Cyprus in Switzerland.

The latest session of the Cyprus Conference, which started in Geneva on 12 January 2017 and aims to find a comprehensive settlement in Cyprus, began in Crans Montana on Wednesday.

Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu will represent the government and the National Unity Party at the Conference on Cyprus.

Ertuğruloğlu will be accompanied by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mustafa Lakadamyalı, ministry officials and a professional delegation.

Ertuğruloğlu will represent the government together with Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Denktaş.

The Conference on Cyprus, which began in Crans-Montana today, is being held with the participation of the Turkish Cypriot side, the Greek Cypriot side and the guarantor countries Turkey, Greece and the United Kingdom.

In the meantime, Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu attended the contact meetings of political party leaders, which took place following the first session of the Cyprus Conference held today.

The meeting was held by President Mustafa Akıncı and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu representing the UBP, Main Opposition Party CTP Leader Tufan Erhürman, DP Leader, Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Denktaş and TDP Leader Cemal Özyiğit participated in the contact meeting.
