Minister of Foreign Affairs Özdil Nami has started to brief NGOs and unions on the latest developments regarding the Cyprus problem.

Foreign Minister Nami invited Cyprus Turkish Civil Servants Trade Union (KTAMS), Cyprus Turkish Public Employees Trade Union (Kamu-Sen), Cyprus Turkish Teachers Union (KTÖS) and Cyprus Turkish Secondary Education Teachers Union (KTOEÖS) to the first meeting, which took place on 8 November 2013.

Speaking at the beginning of the meeting at Foreign Ministry, Nami drew attention to the intensive studies being carried out on the Cyprus negotiation process and foreign contacts. He also expressed the belief that it was important to inform the unions and chambers on the recent phase of the process and hence listen to their views.

Pointing out that the unions reflected the views of the community; Nami expressed desire for the continuation of these meetings.
