Foreign Minister Nami met with high level advisors of German Chancellor

Foreign Minister Özdil Nami met with high level advisors of German Chancellor within the framework of his contacts in Germany.

Minister Nami conveyed the latest stage reached in the Cyprus negotiations process and the Turkish Cypriot side’s attitude and demand for a solution and underlined that the solution of the Cyprus problem is very important for the Turkish and Greek Cypriots, the EU, Turkey, Greece, and the Eastern Mediterranean region.

Pointing out to the importance of the representation of the Turkish Cypriots in the EU Parliament Nami explained to the German authorities how this should be realized.

Positive contributions of the EU and Germany during the solution process of the Cyprus problem were also taken up in the meeting and Minister Nami stressed that the Turkish Cypriot’s desire for a solution still continues as it was in the past.
