Foreign Minister Nami Receives Kyrgyzstan Delegation

Minister of Foreign Affairs Özdil Nami received a Kyrgyzstan delegation headed by the leader of the Kyrgyz Social Democrat Party Chynybai Tursunbekov yesterday (29 October 2013).

During the meeting, which took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Nami expressed his pleasure for the visit of Kyrgyz delegation and wished the development of bilateral relations between the TRNC and Kyrgyzstan. Nami added that the TRNC was ready to spend every effort for developing relations between the two countries.

For his part, leader of the Kyrgyz Social Democrat Party Chynybai Tursunbekov touching upon the historical process of the relations between the TRNC and Kyrgyzstan expressed his desire for further development of these relations.

President of the International Işıkkol Forum Aksar Aimatov who was also present in the meeting, underlined that the relations between the TRNC and Kyrgyzstan should not remain at the level of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and stressed the importance of spending effort for developing them in every field.
