Greek Cypriots highly disturbed for Schulz
President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz’s receving president Mustafa Akıncı and his statements made regarding Greece disturbed the Greek Cypriots. In his statement to Greek Cypriot daily Simerini, EDEK leader Marinos Sizopoulos pointed out that Schulz addressed Akıncı as a “president” and asked “which government?”. The newspaper wrote that DIKO’s parliamentarian at the European Parliament Kostas Mavridis sent a letter to Schulz in order to protest his addressing to Akıncı as a president and for the statements made after the meeting.
