The UN Secretary General`s Special Adviser on Cyprus, Espen Barth Eide, who gave a briefing in Brussels about the Cyprus issue and made evaluations towards the possibility of reaching a consensus by the end of the year although there are some disagreements, disturbed the Greek side.

It is stated that the Greek side is disturbed by the extreme optimistic evaluations of Eide because they are worried about being under the time pressure.

The Greek Cypriot daily Politis newspaper wrote that Anastasiades, who ironically described Eide as being a “seer”, openly put forward his displeasure from the extreme optimistic evaluations of Eide.
