Hijacked Egyptair aircraft forced to land at Larnaca Airport.

An Egyptair aircraft which departed from Alexandria city of Egypt was hijacked and forced to land   at Larnaca Airport.  The Airbus A320 plane was carrying 81 passengers from Alexandria to Cairo, and  entered Nicosia FIR line by changing the route yesterday at 08:20. Continuing his action after the plane landed for a while, hijacker Egyptian Şerif El Din Mustafa was later taken into custody.  The action was terminated “without dead or wounded and no one harmed.”

Greek Cypriot authorities declared that no explosives were found on the hijacker. It was also reported that the person who hijacked the aircraft is not a terrorist, he is just a person who was trying to contact his ex-wife. Furthermore, it was reported that the Egyptian hijacker has a criminal history.
