Kerry: “Resolution of the Cyprus problem is possible in 2015”

US Secretary of State John Kerry has described the Cyprus problem as an ‘extremely extended problem’ and said: “We believe that both sides can make real and lasting progress in the year 2015. The settlement is going to be positive for the region and also this will have marvelous contribution for all the Cypriots in terms of better life opportunities”

At the meeting he had with Foreign Minister of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu yesterday, US Secretary of State John Kerry mentioned the Cyprus problem optimistically. “The United States and Turkey both support the UN-led negotiations to reunify the island as a bi-zonal, bi-communal federation,” Kerry said.
