More than 2 million blackcaps slaughtered in South Cyprus

Greek Cypriot Bird Observers Association declared that the illegal hunting of blackcaps by establishing traps in the Greek Cypriot side reached the most dramatic stage in the autumn of 2014 and more than 2 million blackcaps were slaughtered.

An authority from the Association Dr.Kleri Papazoğlu, declared the data collected by the association within this framework.

Papazoğlu said that illegal hunting of blackcaps prevails generally in South Cyprus however it has been at the record levels in the British Base areas. Papazoglu pointed out that blackcaps are being served in almost every restaurant in the Greek Cypriot side.
