Negotiators to discuss subjects to prepare the Turkish Cypriot side for EU harmonization process

Turkish Cypriot Negotiator Özdil Nami and the Greek Cypriot Negotiator Andreas Mavroyannis will pay a one-day visit to Brussels today within the framework of preparation of the Turkish Cypriot side on the EU harmonization process following a settlement.

During the Brussels contacts, Nami and Mavroyannis will hold contacts at the technical level as part of the work being carried out by the Ad Hoc committee established upon the instructions of the two leaders to prepare the Turkish Cypriot community for the Acquis communautaire (the EU law and regulations). Officials from the UN will also be present during the meetings of the negotiators with the officials of the EU Commission.
