Nezire Sadık Çelebi, who was over 100 years old when she was martyred in Selçuklu village and recorded as “the oldest missing person”, will be buried with military ceremony on Friday, 25 March.
Çelebi could not leave the village during the events due to being confined to bed and she was martyred in her bed when the Greek Cypriots bombed the village.
The remains of Nezire Sadık Çelebi were found in a ruined and burned house.
Çelebi has been recorded as “the oldest missing person.”
