President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Atalay has carried out the first meeting of 2015 which was previously planned with the Archbishop of the Greek Orthodox Church Chrysostomos II, with the coordination of Sweden Embassy and also within the knowledge of the UN.
According to the information given by Presidency of Religious Affairs Press Officer Şükrü Aydın, like all other meetings this meeting also was held within the knowledge of the competent authorities.
President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Atalay realized a contact and evaluation meeting with the Under-secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Erhan Erçin and negotiator Ergün Olgun at their office before yesterday’s meeting. According to the statement, Atalay’s passing to South Cyprus took place through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as its routine.
