The U.S. Special Representative for Religion and Global Affairs Shaun Casey visited the Hala Sultan Tekke. Casey who also met with Religious Affairs Presidency’s South Cyprus Representative and the Imam of Hala Sultan Tekke Şakir Alemdar, obtained information about the history of the Tekke and listened to their problems.
Stating that he was impressed a lot by the history and the beauties of Tekke, Shaun Casey expressed his belief that the problems will be solved in a short time and mutual understanding will be arisen.
Indicating that free usage of Hala Sultan Tekke is the most natural right of the Turkish Cypriots, Casey said that he was following closely and appreciates the works done.
