The leaders will hold their first meeting of 2016 today

President Mustafa Akıncı and the Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Anastasiadis will hold their first meeting of 2016 today, in efforts to find a comprehensive solution to the Cyprus issue.

According to the decision taken at the last meeting of 2015, the leaders will come together 3 times in January.

UN Secretary-General`s Special Advisor on Cyprus, Espen Barth Eide will attend the meeting to be held at 10:00 at the buffer zone in Lefkosa. The leaders are expected to meet again on the 14th and 29th of January.
