The decision of the Republic of Turkey which was published in the official gazette regarding the abolishment of the visa requirement to all EU member countries on the condition that Brussels applies the deal concerning the Turkish citizens aroused a great interest in South Cyprus.
The Greek Cypriot radio announced the news as, “If the agreement between Ankara and the EU on the abolition of the visa requirement for Turkish citizens comes into force, the Greek Cypriots will no longer require a visa in order to visit Turkey.”
The Greek Cypriot Administration spokesperson Nikos Hristodulidis stated that the Greek Cypriot Administration will announce their opinion after seeing the relevant decision of the Turkish Council of Ministers.
