Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Derya Kanbay paid a courtesy visit to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kudret Özersay. The meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Speaking during the visit, Turkish Ambassador Kanbay said: “Turkey reiterates her constant support and interest towards the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus state and its government, as well as the Turkish Cypriot people. This support will also continue in the future, in the strongest manner.”
For his part, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Özersay stated that he was pleased that Turkey had reiterated its fundamental and ongoing support of the TRNC in facing many of the issues that lie ahead.
