Within the framework of negotiations and the meeting on May 28 held between President Akıncı and the Greek Cypriot administration leader Nikos Anastasiadis and after the UN Secretary-General’s Special Adviser for Cyprus Espen Barth Eide’s announcement of opening Lefke Aplıç border and Famagusta Dherniya border for crossings, work has started towards this direction.
The Minister of the Interior and Deputy Foreign Minister Teberrüken Uluçay visited Famagusta Dherniya border, which will be opened to mutual crossings.
