Minister of Foreign Affairs Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu received Dr. Saidou Dogon Guida, Chair of the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, together with his accompanying delegation.

Minister Ertuğruloğlu expressed his pleasure at welcoming the delegation to the Ministry on the occasion of their visit to the TRNC to participate in an international conference held at Eastern Mediterranean University.

During the meeting, Ertuğruloğlu provided an overview of TRNC’s position on the Cyprus issue, reiterating its vision for a two-state settlement based on sovereign equality and highlighting the importance attached to the support of Islamic countries.

The meeting which was also attended by IPHRC Vice-Chair Dr. Hacı Ali Açıkgül, featured an exchange of views on further strengthening bilateral relations.
