Minister of Foreign Affairs Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu departed from the Turkish Republic of Cyprus for the United States of America, where he will hold a series of contacts on the margins of the 81st Session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.

Accompanied by Ministry officials, Minister Ertuğruloğlu will hold bilateral meetings in New York with UN officials and foreign ministers from participating countries within the framework of the UN General Assembly.

As part of his programme, Minister Ertuğruloğlu will also attend the Annual Coordination Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), in which the TRNC holds observer status, as well as the Council of Ministers meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and the informal meeting of the Foreign Ministers Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

Following his contacts in New York, Minister Ertuğruloğlu will travel to Washington, where he will hold meetings with various officials, meet with representatives of think tanks and deliver presentations on the Cyprus issue.
