Minister of Foreign Affairs Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu met with Gambian Foreign Minister, Sering Modou Njie on the sidelines of the 81^st Session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly in New York.

During the meeting, Minister Ertuğruloğlu thanked his Gambian counterpart, for the support extended by the Gambia to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) under the auspices of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Ertuğruloğlu and Njie discussed steps to further develop cooperation between the two countries in various fields in the period ahead and exchanged views on regional developments.

Minister Ertuğruloğlu also briefed his counterpart on the latest developments regarding the Cyprus issue.
